Coram Voices Through Time Project
Coram is now an educational charity, but until the nineteen fifties is was the Foundling Hospital, which began in London in the Eighteenth Century, then moved out to Buckinghamshire.
I was interested to read about the project to get all the archived documents of the hospital safely transcribed, and have signed on to volunteer. (The work can be done from home.)
There is no specified time requirement, do as much as you want. I haven’t heard back from them with any instructions yet, but there is a whole day live event on October 1st. where I hope to find out more.
I had no success following the link given in the u3a magazine for the signing on form, but if you go to the Coram website everything is there. I will ammend this post as I get more information. You can also get a ticket (free) for the Oct. 1st. event on the website..
