New Beginnings January 2025
Can’t believe I have left this for so long. Time to begin again I think. I have begun by adding some of my portraits. I am also going to update my friend Hugh’s gallery and begin one for my granddaughter Amy, who is beginning to paint again after a long gap. It is about time I began writing again, after a long gap with no ideas coming.

The Tay Bridge Disater Sunday December 28th. 1879
A recent assignment was to write a short story about the aftermath of the Tay Bridge disaster.
On the night of 28th. December a train started off across the bridge during a terrible storm. The bridge, only one year old, had not been designed to withstand the storm strength wind, and a large section fell into the river taking the train with it. There were no survivers, an estimated 75 dead. How to write a story about such a thing? That’s the problem!

I have decided that to improve at all I need to stop trying to jam a decent portrait into a class session and take my time and work with individuals. Hopefully friends and family will volunteer, but if not I will look for models.
